Rahul Patel

Hi! I am Rahul, a PhD student at the department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering, University of Toronto. I work with Prof. Elias Khalil on accelerating discrete optimization solution techniques using machine learning. More specifically, I work on multi-objective and stochastic optimization problems.

I completed my master's in Industrial Engineering from Polytechnique Montreal and Mila, supervised by Prof. Andrea Lodi and Prof. Yoshua Bengio. I worked at Shipments as a Machine Learning Engineer (2017-18) on document understanding and Ahmedabad University as a Teaching Assistant (2016-17) before starting grad school.
